- Clinical Bloc posting - 12 months( 3 months for each clinical discipline)
- Final Exam period - 2 months

STUDENT ASSESSMENT
Assessment/Evaluation
- Formative assessment: Completion Test
- Summative assessment: Final Examination
- Final Part (1) MBBS
Completion test
Class work will contribute 20% of total marks in Completion test
Theory will comprise
- Multiple Choice Questions – 20 stems each with 5 true false options within 40 minutes (40%)
- Multiple Short Questions – 4 in number with approximately 4-5 questions on the structured problem (60)
Theory mark will contribute 40% of total marks in Completion test.
Clinical examination will comprise
- One OSCE station on history taking and examination within 20 minutes (50%)
- One OSCE station on skill demonstration with model or partogram within 20 minutes (50%)
Clinical examination will contribute 40% of total marks in Completion test.
Marks scored in completion test of Final Part 1 will contribute 10% of final total marks in Final Part 2 final examination.
Final Part (2) MBBS
Completion test (Formative assessment)
This will be conducted at the end of the bloc posting. It will comprise the followings:
- Class work: 30%
- Obstetric theory (3) hours paper on 40 MCQs (each with 5 true false options) within 80 minutes with 40% scoring & 4 MSQs (each with approximately 5 questions) within 100 minutes with 60% scoring.
It will contribute 20% of total marks.
- Gynaecology theory (3) hours paper on 40 MCQs (each with 5 true false options) within 80 minutes with 40% scoring & 4 MSQs (each with approximately 5 questions) within 100 minutes with 60% scoring
It will contribute 20% of total marks.
- Clinical OSCE:
- Two Obstetric stations (each 15 minutes duration)
one on history taking and obstetric examination with structured marking scheme one on problem management with structured obstetric problem based on decision making process & explanation to the simulated patient or demonstration of procedure or questions will be asked about instruments used in Obstetric practice.
- Two Gynaecology stations (each 15 minutes duration)
one on history taking and vaginal examination on Vaginal Examination model or abdominal examination on patient with structured marking scheme one on problem management with structured gynaecological problem based on decision making process &explanation to a simulated patient or demonstration of procedure or problem management of the specimen or question
